 Hello! My name is Korynna Moncada and I am a third year psychology major with minors in Education and Social work. After graduation I hope to get my Master's in social work to be a clinical social worker. I'm a third year member in the marching chiefs as well where I play mellophone. I am also in the Math Thinking and Learning Lab with Colleen Ganley here at FSU so math education is particularly interesting to me!

My experience with technology in educational settings is pretty limited. I am quite familiar with powerpoint/ google slides as I have been required to make those types of presentations for most of my education. I have used the basics of excell on my own and have been exposed to navigating more complex excell sheets in my lab but I haven't made complex ones myself. I am also familiar with canva and wix from ENC 2135. I have also used a variety of social media platforms like twitter and tik tok in educational settings before.

My personal learning network is mainly focused around school. I learn most from my teachers and from other students around me. I also occasionally read articles or books, watch educational videos on youtube, or listen to podcasts on Spotify. Spaces like my DIS lab, Stroizer, and Dirac, are also places where I study and learn a lot.

 I have only previously made a website using Wix before so using Weebly was a new experience for me. I learned how to use different features like the embed code feature of the website builder. I disliked how it seemed you could only work off a template and there was a lot that needed to be deleted from the template to be used for my purposes. Before using Weebly, I also tested out Wix again to see which user interface I liked more and I found it very interesting that Wix now has an AI generated text button to help users fill in their websites. I think with proper use of this tool, this could be very helpful to speed up basic web design. Everything I learned from this assignment will help in my future career if I ever need to make my own website or edit an existing website.       Copy right is a legal right to ownership of something. For example, if someone publishes a book and has it copy righted, they have the legal right to claim that book as their own and only they will have the right to copy that material. So if a book is copyrighted, only the author/owner can legally print more copies of that book. Fair use deals with copy right in the sense that something that is copyrighted may still be used or quoted without paying the creator, but only if it is for purposes like teaching, criticism, research, ect. I would deal with these principles as a teacher by making sure if I was copying any material, it would follow under the fair use principles for teaching.       I did not have twitter until I was required to get it for this class and my early experiences with it were fine. The user interface and functionality of the website are both good, the platform is just not my preferred way to digest or interact with content. I have been interacting with the educational accounts we were required to follow and the content has been interesting to look through, especially from the U.S department of education. Twitter may be helpful in my future career in order to quickly get information from many different sources about a topic I am interested in. It is also easy to interact with content and share my own content which can help me to build connections.     The digital divide can affect students in schools by  making it more difficult to complete online homework at home, or homework that requires internet access for searches or additional learning resources.
